Oppo releases a new timeline for its newest skin, ColorOS 11, which is built on Android 11, once a month. In May 2021, these Oppo phones will receive the Android 11 update. A timetable for both beta and official version updates is included in the newer schedule. On the Oppo smartphones, the latest update should bring a slew of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes. Oppo is already testing its new skin on a variety of phones in various regions, including the Oppo Reno Z, Oppo A5 2020, Oppo A9 2020, Oppo A73 5G, and Oppo A53. The company is now preparing to release its new skin for the Oppo F17 in India, as well as the Oppo A53 in Thailand and Malaysia. These models will be updated on the 25th of May. When it comes to the stable rollout, a number of Oppo phones will receive the ColorOS 11 update this month in various regions. The Oppo Reno Z will receive the latest update on May 11th, while the Oppo A5 2020, Oppo A9 2020, and Oppo A73 5G will receive it on May 26th. When it comes to functionality, the ColorOS 11 beta will include FlexDrop, Oppo Sans font, three-finger gesture to translate from Google Lens, Nearby Sharing, Super Power Saving Mode, and a slew of customizations to the Dark Mode, Always-On Display, Wallpapers, Ringtones, and Icons, to name a few. Not only that, but the update also includes a slew of Android 11’s core features.

If your smartphone is on the list for an upgrade this month, make sure you update it to the most recent software version available. Since the beta enrollment service is only open to users who are running the most recent software, only those who are running the most recent software are eligible.

Early access would be open to a limited number of users on a first-come, first-served basis, as is customary. So, if you’ve been granted access to the ColorOS 11 beta program and are excited to try out the new skin, here’s how to get started.

Open your Oppo smartphone’s Settings app, then go to Software Update > Settings icon > apply for the Trial Version > fill out the required details. That is everything there is to it.

Make a backup of essential data before upgrading your device with a special OTA. Also, make sure your battery is at least 50% charged. As I previously said, the update includes a range of useful features, improvements, and a monthly security update.
